The CCA Quebec Chapter will have a booth and a Peer Counselor on hand to answer your questions.  We will also have some copies of dietitian Shelley Case's most recent edition of The Gluten-Free Diet : A resource guide, at the reduced price of $25 (no tax) and  the CCA Pocket Dictionary at the reduced price of $8 (no tax.)  A low cost meal ($2) will be served and there will be a safe gluten-free option of a vegetarian chili.

Edmonton Gluten-Free Festival & Vendor Fair

Register now for the Edmonton Gluten Free Festival, a one-day conference and vendor fair. Some of the speakers you can expect to hear from include Dr. Sheila Crowe, co-author of Celiac Disease for Dummies and celiac blogger Laurie Lynn Lyons. Registration includes early access to the vendor fair (prior to opening to the general public), GF breakfast and lunch, and access to hear all of the speakers lined up for the day. Conference delegates have a bonus opportunity to sign up for a free tour of Kinnikinnick’s production facility on the morning of Friday, June 9th.

Register by April 30th to be eligible to win a gift basket.

Gluten-Free Holiday Dinner at "La Casa Pescara"

We are invited to join the members of the Celiac Disease Gluten Free Quebec Facebook Group, organized by Mario Caluori, for a GF Italian meal at La Casa Pescara.

Bake Night

Holidays without gluten, no problem!

The holiday season is approaching. You are worried about missing out? A guest is gluten sensitive? Come learn how to easily adapt recipes to please everyone. On behalf of the Quebec Chapter of the Canadian Celiac Association, you are invited to attend a basic bilingual information session on gluten and an informative preparation demonstration of typical recipes such as turkey gravy, maple tarts, shortbread cookies and an apple cranberry crisp. Recipes will be provided.

Cost: $30.

Montérégie Health Promotion Day

The 3rd Annual Monteregie Health Promotion Fair will be held on October 29, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the BROSSARD SOCIOCULTUREL CENTRE, 7905 San Francisco in Brossard.

All members are encouraged to visit our booth to support us. The Health Minister Dr Gaetan Barrette will be there.

In addition our President will be giving a talk on Gluten-Related Disorders and the Gluten-Free Diet from 11am to 12 noon.

Entry fee: By donation (cash or non-perishable food item) to either The Quebec Chapter of the Canadian Celiac Association, the Fondation Québecoise de la maladie coeliaque or Moisson Montreal. Which charity your donation goes to and the amount of the donation is your choice. Every dollar helps!

Fundraiser - Comedy by Le Théâtre St Bruno Players

Le Théâtre St Bruno Players presents 2 One-Act Comedy Performances

A fundraiser at the United Church in Saint-Lambert.  he Théâtre St-Bruno Players will once again give their services for free for this event, to help raise much-needed funds for our organization.  Tickets are on sale for those with email access through CanadaHelps.org where you can also donate to our chapter now and receive an official tax receipt within 5 minutes.  You can also obtain tickets at: Louise Sans Gluten at: 475 Dumont Suite 109, Dorval H9S 5W2 , at the April 30th meeting., or you can order them by calling 514-893 9856 or emailing info@celiacquebec.ca,  There will be an extra $2 charge over regular the ticket price to mail tickets.  Tickets are $15 or $12 for students and seniors over 65.

Annual General Meeting

Annual General Meeting, followed by a presentation on the new Gluten-Free Training and Certification program that is being launched jointly by the CCA and the Fondation québécoise de la maladie coeliaque (FQMC.)   Mark Johnson will be our speaker, not Suzanne Laurencelle as announced earlier. Mark is a member of our CCA National Board This event will take place in the church hall of St Andrew’s and St Mark’s at 865 Lakeshore Drive in Dorval.  We will also be holding our Annual Member Baking Contest at the same time and have some wonderful prizes to offer the three winners. Please be sure to list all the ingredients of anything you bring to enter the contest and please contact us to let us know if you will be competing, either by a phone message to (514) 893 9856, or by email to info@celiacquebec.ca
