Spanel is a cozy restaurant in Griffintown, on Notre-Dame Ouest between Guy and Atwater. Founded in 2011 by chef-owner Yann Bris from Bittany, France, the restaurant specializes in fresh, locally-sourced crêpes

Enjoy one of the marquis savoury buckwheat crêpes on the menu. The vast majority are gluten-free (depends on the filling). Try the Petite-Italie, the Point-Saint-Charles, the Quartier-Latin, or one of the many other selections.

Or be a bit decadent and treat yourself to one of the sweet dessert crêpes, many of which are gluten-free if you select the buckwheat option.

Many of the other choices on their menu are gluten-free as well (ask the server to verify which ones.)

Spanel is about a 15-minute walk from Metro Lionel-Groulx.

STM buses 35 and 36 stop within a block of the restaurant.

There is paid parking on Notre Dame Ouest, which might be free on Sunday mornings. Free parking is available on nearby side streets
